Hair Donation

Hair loss is a common side effect of cancer treatment due to chemotherapy and radiation. Besides cancer, hair loss can also be a side effect of certain drugs, such as those used for arthritis, depression, heart problems, gout and high blood pressure.

Wearing a wig to conceal hair loss may restore some sense of normalcy. A well-made wig of human hair can boost self-esteem and improve a person’s outlook, which goes a long way to helping them manage other symptoms and recover.

With this hope, volunteers of our foundation have donated their hair as well as organised hair donation camps at various locations.

The donated hair is then used for creating wigs which are given free of cost to cancer patients and other needful patients.
